The Phoenix was of course in Greek Mythology and used by the Early Church for a symbol of new life and resurrection…. plus it’s the street my wife Jami lived on when I met her… and a really good band from France. 🙂
The main concept was that out of a dry desert can come life and hope.
Thank you to all who bought paintings and/or came to my show. I was able to raise $120 for Courage Worldwide. Here is the message I received.
“THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Every amount counts and we appreciate all you have done immensely. I am always so encouraged by the way people use their skills in this fight.
And of course you don’t need to buy a painting to donate you can donate here.

This was an idea that came to me when I was looking at coins. I am a little bit of a coin collector. I have coins from all over the world. And I started to think about all the times that “love” and “money” are used together. “Can’t Buy Me Love” is a song by Paul McCartney… “ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” 1 Timothy 6:10… etc. In a way they are opposites but in another way money can obviously be used to show love in giving the those in need. Anyway, I look forward to hearing other people’s thoughts on it.
For fun I made a my own little Social Media site. I had imagined it being a kind of portfolio piece but anyone is welcome to use it. I wanted to design something simple and easy to use. In addition to adding a photo, link or text you can also add a sketch with my HTML 5 drawing tool. Have fun!
I gained a lot of real world experience while interning at the MBA. It’s important to learn how to work in a team and accept direction and constructive criticism. The required hours for my work experience class flew by.
