I built this e-commerce site from scratch using PHP and MYSQL at the core (also using HTML, CSS, Ajax and Javascript). The company could add and edit products and pages from the back end. I also built promotion code functionality. The checkout button sent an itemized list of products to Pay Pal for payment.
At first, I set up a customized magento install but it was to confusing for the client because of all the options. My custom site was simple with only the functionality that the client desired.
Creating this site helped me land my first full time web developer job at Sleep Train.
